Tuina is a Chinese form of massage that is typically used in conjunction with moxibustion or cupping. Tuina uses a combination of rolling and kneading techniques to loosen and work muscles in order to relieve pain and to improve healing.
Does tuina hurt?
Tuina is a relaxing modality which is pleasant to receive. The focus of Tuina is on therapeutic results such as pain relief, and while Tuina is more vigorous than Shiatsu, Tuina is not painful or uncomfortable and is often described as enjoyable and highly beneficial.
