Moxibustion Therapy is a heat therapy wherein a dried herb is burned near or over specific points in order to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities.
Moxibustion, or Moxa, is a very common form of therapy in Asia and has been used for hundreds of years. The herb that is used is dried Mugwort and can be used in conjunction with other therapies or used on its own.
Does Moxibustion hurt?
Moxibustion does not involve the burning of the skin. The goal is to use the herb for its warmth and its natural healing properties in a focused way in order to achieve specific results which reduce pain and promote healing

WHat is a Moxibustion treatment like?
Moxibustion treatments are performed while the client is clothed with the location to receive the moxibustion exposed, typically on the back or on the legs. The moxibustion herb is lit and placed on or near the skin and the warmth of the small amount of herb is felt.
Moxibustion therapy does not involve burning the skin.
