For over 2000 years Acupuncture has been helping treat illnesses, disease and pain. Acupuncture is a safe, drug-free and effective therapy which can treat a wide range of conditions.
From a Traditional Chinese Medical perspective, Acupuncture works by affecting the qi within various channels which flow throughout the body. Acupuncture is often combined with massage, acupressure, moxibustion or cupping to provide an effective form of pain relief therapy.
Does Acupuncture Hurt?
It is uncommon for Acupuncture to hurt. While Acupuncture may be momentarily uncomfortable, there should be no pain involved, and it is worth noting that there are acupuncture points and acupuncture treatment protocols that are used every day for relaxation and stress reduction.
It is quite common for people to fall asleep during an acupuncture treatment, and to feel more refreshed, relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards.
